Kristi Pollardo, Class of 2022 A-F

I taught English in Coweta, Oklahoma until I graduated from Northeastern State University with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling in 2015. I love working with kids and found my passion was to help students through the counseling profession. I am beyond excited to join the staff at UHS! I love that Union is willing to try new strategies in order to keep students engaged in the education process!

My husband and I have a 13 year old daughter who keeps us busy with all of her activities. We love to travel, ride roller coasters, spend time at the lake, and watch OU softball and football! Reading is one of my biggest passions. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is my favorite book of all time!

Debbie Weber, Class of 2022 G-N

As an educator for the past 38 years, it goes without saying that I love students... and I love my job. I began my career in 1978 teaching English at Catoosa High School.

Although I enjoyed the classroom, the opportunity arose for me to become a counselor - so I made the change. I remained at Catoosa for 7 years and then joined the Union High School Faculty in 1989. Through the years I have seen many changes, but the constant thread of excellence has never changed.

I graduated from Northeastern State University in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and then completed my Master Degree in Ed in 1980. My husband and I have one daughter who graduated from Union and is now teaching in Edmond, OK.

Currently, I am the senior counselor for students with last names A-F. I also assist our student athletes with college eligibility registration. If there is anything I can help with, please do not hesitate to call or email!!

Nicole Tafoya, Class of 2022 O-Z

This is my second year at Union High School and in Oklahoma! I was born and raised in California. I received my B.A. in psychology and education from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Upon graduation I worked with children with autism as a behavioral therapist while attending graduate school earning my M.A. in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services credential at Loyola Marymount University. I began my counseling career in Central California where I worked at 5 different schools as an intervention counselor, drug and alcohol counselor, and student support counselor, and have spent the last 5 years as a High School Counselor in Los Angeles. I truly value my job and make it my goal to ensure that students I work with have all the support and guidance needed while they navigate life and grow academically, socially, and personally.

Debbie Greever, Native American Counselor 9-12th grade

I am an alumni of Union Public Schools.  I am a proud graduate of the University of Tulsa, BA 1995, and I earned my MA from the University of Tulsa in 1998.

As a Native American Program Counselor, I have enjoyed working with Native American students and families.  My own tribal  lineage is through the Muscogee (Creek) Nation on my paternal side.  I am also Cherokee and Blackfeet on my maternal side.  I have been with Union Public Schools since 2005.  I was honored with the recognition of the Volunteer of the Year through the Tulsa Indian Health Care Resource Center (TIHCRC) in November of 2015.  I enjoy attending both National JOM conferences and state JOM conferences to learn about what other Native American programs are doing across the United States.  I utilize what I learn and bring it back to implement in my counseling here at Union.  My best wish for my students is to help them utilize Tribal resources now and in the future.

The best way to contact me is through email or phone.
